One Little Lesson On Longing     I stood in silent confusion. A horde of liquid frustrations follow their late companion down my young face to a messy end on the parched excuse of a lawn, as the old Ford pick-up that embodied my one desire kicked billowing clouds of dust into the pressure-cooked heavens on its way down our seemingly endless driveway.       “Wait!" I could contain myself no longer, and set out at a dead sprint which, at the time, wasn't all that impressive. Prologue     A slight breath of wind gently coaxed one of the last remaining leaves from its perch high in a tree. It drifted downward slowly, as if suspended by some unseen thread. Gently illuminated by the pale moonlight, the lone leaf continued its spiraling descent until it was abruptly interrupted by a messy mass of inky hair.       A quivering hand hurriedly brushed the leaf off of the unruly locks, then resumed the business of nervously wringing its companion. Wide eyes peered fearfully from under black bangs, darting restlessly to and fro.       Recognition l Prologue

SmileDamp and dank  Putrid and rank  Infested with disease and rot  Of warmth, the stones offered naught  Filled with the hopeless moans of men condemned  But nothing which would comfort lend  A young mother clings desperately to a baby, front streaked with bile  Huddled in a corner, not so far from the festering corpse pile  In a wavering voice she sings in her child's ear, sheltering it from the horrors  Not the least of which stands guard at the doors  Chuckling softly with a glint in their eyes  They watch with glee as, one by one, the prisoners die

Mangled HeartHelp me staunch this bleeding heart  I don't know where to start  So many gashes  From so many lashes  Riddled with maze-like wormholes  The architects long decomposed, having dealt their tolls  It's scored, pitted and pockmarked  Even expert whittlers become clumsy in the dark  This mangled heart is condemned  Doomed to a lonely end Mangled Heart

About myself...
Well, I live in Idaho in the U.S.
I'm 16 and a male, as it already says at the top so this is pointless...
I love reading, and also writing, but just for fun as I'm rather horrid at it.
Um... I really need to get some pictures up, however the scanner isnt working at the moment so you might be spared looking at my hideous face a little while.
I do a little drawing as well, but, again, the scanner is broken. And it is even worse than my poetry, so you should be grateful :)
I dont really know what else to say, if anyone has any questions, id be glad to add anything. that is if anyone ever comes to this page, reads this, and actually remotely cares. lol this was pointless indeed.
